Hypnosis Stealth Tactics Explained

Thursday, September 24th, 2009

Conversational Hypnosis is actually an art of easily communicating suggestions to the subject while they are in an induced state of trance. You are giving suggestions that will make the person?s life better and he will be healthier and living a better life. The only problem is to get the suggestions inside the person?s head and getting rid of resistance at the same time. Everybody has a critical filter that tells him what to believe and what to not believe. This mechanism is able to analyze information and decide what is safe to allow the mind to believe.

This critical filter is creating the resistance and this is what the hypnotist must overcome. They are the ones rejecting the suggestions. Sometimes, the critical filter inside a person?s brain can be overactive and reject good ideas and suggestions from any person. This means the critical filter of that system is rejecting absolutely anything. Stealth Tactics are what you must use to bypass this critical filter. The tactics will assist you and you will be able to influence people in a very positive way.

Stealth Tactics are a very private way of overcoming the critical factor and then make suggestions. The concepts are based on a wide set of principals which enables you to use people?s strengths against them. The purpose will be to help them improve their lives. Even if they are stealth, these tactics have good intentions. There are five Stealth Tactics and we will explain them shortly.

The first one is the Law of Reversed Effect and it is a very powerful one. This means that the harder you try, the likely you are to result in failure. This is because the person is trying to do something in a conscious way and that thing is supposed to be done by the unconscious mind. This effect is confusing and can lead to failure. But this works with conversational hypnotists because you are asking the subject to fail at something and this will result in a lower resistance.

The second Stealth Tactic is called Redirect Resistance and it is the tactic of giving the subject something that they can resist. By resisting they will feel validated and quite powerful. They will think they control their minds. But the great thing is that while resisting to an idea, they are open to other suggestions.

Refocusing Attention is the third Stealth Tactic and sometimes it is used with Redirecting Resistance. Refocusing Attention means subtly place a suggestion in the middle of a conversation and then also distract the attention of the subject somewhere else. It is quite easy.

The fourth Stealth Tactic is called Implication and it deals with body language, facial expressions or the tone of voice. You use all of these to imply something. Implying means getting pass the critical factor because the mind thinks the implications are true.

Presuppositions are considered the fifth Stealth Tactic and they are linguistic assumptions which we assume to be true. It can sound complicated but you will get the hang of it. It is a powerful tactic.

Last, but not the least, the sixth Stealth Tactic is named Binds and Double Binds. These are ways of phrasing a statement and giving the possibility of a choice that does not exist. A bind is a very sneaky way of redirecting resistance because there is no other choice. Binds and double binds are great at bypassing the critical factor.

Hypnosis And The Art Of Implication

Thursday, September 24th, 2009

Every hypnotist knows that the key in the art of hypnosis is how conversational hypnosis is being used. The Stealth Tactics will help you implant ideas into your subject?s mind and getting pass the critical factor that causes rejection.

The whole idea of the Stealth Tactics is to get the mind filled with something else, overload it so that the road to suggestion is clear. Once you manage to do that, you will easily be able to change the lives of your patients and achieve your goals. The next Stealth Tactic you must master is called Implication.

This technique bases itself on a wide variety of body language moves and also on the voice. You must be able to master both of these aspects in order to become a great hypnotist. In Implication you will clearly notice that once you are implying something, an idea, a thought, you are passing by the critical factor much easier. It is a known scientific fact that the mind does not process or analyzes implications like it does when something is said out in the face.

This is because the brain knows that it will take him a lot of time and effort to analyze an implication and that is why it is harder to do that. Many people do not analyze consciously the implications because it is harder, they are tired or overloaded. And it is also true that implications exist all around us and we use them almost everyday.

An implication is a statement you make using a lot of body language, tone of voice and look.
But the way you are using an implication is highly important in the conversation hypnosis.

The Implication Tactics are the ways of using the Stealth Tactic of Implication. The first one is named Implied Directives and it is the art of asking someone to do a thing without asking a proper question.

The second one is to Create an Expectation and this means you are using implications in order to set expectations. This happens when a teacher is asking the students if they have a question. This means the teacher is implying that they have and they should go with it. It is a very common and used pattern.

The third Implication Tactic is the Tacit Authority and is about implying something about you. This happens when lawyers cover their office walls with diplomas. There are many charismatic lawyers that use tacit authority really well and brag about themselves all day long.

You can also use Tacit Authority in telling a story. After that story the subject will draw a conclusion about your personality. These tactics will help you a lot in applying the Stealth Tactic of Implication and you should not be afraid to use the changing tone of voice, raised eyebrows or stories to accomplish that.

Implication is quite a powerful tool and you must be able to master it if you want great results with your subjects.

Boosting Your Hypnosis Influence With Attention Refocusing And Resistance

Thursday, September 24th, 2009

Conversational Hypnosis is based on the language we use. You must be able to get into people?s minds without moving a finger, just by using the verbal and non-verbal communication skills.

Very helpful at doing that are the Stealth Tactics and once you will learn all about them and how to use them, you will be great at what you do. Stealth Tactics are great for getting inside the subject?s mind without him noticing.

Complicate his mind untill that point where he allows you free access. This will take some fine skills from you and you will master them in time. Another very important fact is bypassing the resistance. If the critical factor is awake, the subject will resist your suggestions, so you need to put it to sleep. A very useful method is the Law of Reversed Effect but it can also create a lot of problems.

This means that this technique can put the subject in a combative frame of mind. The subject will defend himself thinking that you are trying to harm him, by suggesting things. This is because the conscious mind does not like to be controlled and it gives up control really hard. A person who loses control sees itself as a weak person. Once a person feels weak, it will overcompensate with feelings of low self esteem and also some destructive behaviors.

As a therapist, you do not want that effect. This is when the Law of Reversed Effect happens and they will fail and cause damage and hardship to the self esteem. But do not think that there is no solution for that because there is. The best way to deal with that is to use that resistance to build the subject?s self esteem.

Sneak suggestions into the conversation and make them see that they have control over their lives.
Redirecting resistance is the best way to do this and it is very simple. It means giving them the power back. They will no more be under influence and they will take control. Give the person something they can not resist and they will see that they have control over their life. The great thing about this is that it is a win-win kind of situation.

He will have a low resistance and you will keep up with the suggestions. Redirecting resistance is only for making the subject a bit stronger and feel in control and there are many ways in which to use this principle. Often it is combined with other stealth tactics.

The next Stealth Tactic is Refocusing Attention. This is about making suggestions, implanting them and then refocus the attention somewhere else. This is similar to seeding ideas. You will plant the idea in their head and then redirect the attention. It is a very powerful technique because it gets pass the critical factor. The rhythm will be like this: suggest, refocus, suggest original idea, refocus and so on like that.

After a while, the subject will say that the planted idea is his and he will assume the responsibility for it and act on it. That is just what you wanted. You may have noticed that you were talking about ideas that you heard many months in the past, taken from someone and not treat them like your own. The Refocusing Attention technique is quite powerful and must be used with caution.

There are many ways of distracting the attention and one very easy thing to do that is to change the topic. Try to refocus the idea on something else. Besides that, an overload of information can cause the same effect. Remember to use this technique and do not forget to come back on the idea that you have planted and see what it has become of it and maybe grow it some more.

You must also remember to alter the repetition and if you are working with a very sharp mind, you must not use the same technique on and on because they will loose focus. Determine which techniques to use after analyzing the person first. In time, you will be able to do that in no time.
