You will plant the idea in their head and then redirect the attention. It is a very powerful technique because it gets pass the critical factor. The rhythm will be like this: suggest, refocus, suggest original idea, refocus and so on like that.

After a while, the subject will say that the planted idea is his and he will assume the responsibility for it and act on it. That is just what you wanted. You may have noticed that you were talking about ideas that you heard many months in the past, taken from someone and not treat them like your own. The Refocusing Attention technique is quite powerful and must be used with caution.
